-->Laser brightness depends on voltage of the batteries. It has also big current draw so I don't think AAA batteries are good choice for these powers. It works best with Ni-Mh cells, freshly charged. Of course alkaline batteries have higher voltage but they are very quickly discharged. With alkaline you have initially higher brightness compared with rechergeable but after few minutes Ni-MHs are better.-->It was not very well focused, If you point in the sky, you can see it is not a line but more like cone. It is not "dramatical" but be aware of that

If you want powerful laser, buy it! But be careful, it can be very dangerous.

Very good product. I don't really needed a laser for anything, just playing with it. It really surprised me. During day, you can see the green dot quite far away. At night, it is just amazing. Poiting it at the sky, you can see a very cool green line. I pointed it on buildings that were really, really far away.(never thaught I could reach such a long distance with a laser)
Cons:
No really cons, I guess you just have to be extremly careful, don't point at anyone eyes, and don't give it to children.
Overall:
You should buy this if you are looking for a cheap but powerfull laser.
