-Charging mobile phone battery takes ages. I haven't measured the current but charging my Nokia 5230 from 50 % to 90 % takes about 3 hours.-I don't think it has a diode to prevent current going the wrong way. One time I accidentally tried to use almost dead batteries to charge my phone and it just drained my phone's battery and the NiMH's became extremely hot and probably lost some capacity.

the thing wich goes around the batteries is hard to remove, (i spent almost 10 minutes figuring out how to open it)i knew it should slide down but did not knew there was a safety feature that holds it in placealso if you use this for those usb heated gloves, especially the ones wich are two gloves on one usb, do not expect the device to last long, also i think it is a bit pricey and the led from wich they say it is a flashlight is useless.
Overall:
i would search for a cheaper one with place for more batteries but if you do not need that this one is great and you should get it.

This thing uses AA batteries which is great since they're so readily available in our house (plenty of rechargables and alkalines)This is useful to keep a device charged up for dying batteries.
Cons:
Removing the cover is pretty difficult. I had to shave down the bumps on the main device to have it slip off easier but have it stay on.The LED is nearly useless for me, but I suppose it can be used to make sure the batteries are still working.
Overall:
Definitely get one for emergencies. Worked for my sony ericsson phone and ipod.

Works just great with my iPhone 3G -- you'll need to use either your standard iPhone data cable (USB) or one of the USB iphone/ipod cables here on DE. Either way, charges and powers my iPhone 3G just fine.
Cons:
The white LED is seriously weak. I wish they could get a nice bright Luxeon in there. :-) Don't think it'll serve very well as a flashlight.Also, the power switch is flimsy. And getting batteries out is tough. And the battery cover isn't the best design. But all in all, it's a fantastic spare power unit for your iPHone.
