We can change the GPS software. I changed for IGO 8.3 (Brazil).FM transmiter works fine.Build quality is ok.I am satisfied with screen size. The streets and maps fit perfectly on it.
Cons:
The batterry is not good. It used to work for one hour. The car adapter is very important, and it comes together.
Overall:
The difficult can be in the software configuration you choose. GPS is the easiest thing to use. I recommended to others three friends and all of them are satisfied to.The other features (game, video, flash) aren't useful at all.

Very complete product. Order this and you only have to buy a (hard) case to put the gps in. Very complete in it's software.You can read e-books, play movies, MP3, play games etc. Haven't tried any of these cause I use it mainly for navigation. Very good GPS reception; cold within 30 sec, warm within 5 sec.
Cons:
I own 2 of these units. The last came with different firmware. It was a pain in the ass to find the right navigation program that can handle the firmware; Sygic 10 does the job.
Overall:
A very good GPS unit for a very reasonable price. The new firmware has a few extra's but I prefer the old firmware. You won't get disappointed if you buy this unit.

Very clear instructions, works perfectly for Canada. The design is very good and I really like how discreet the pen is in the corner. Very multifunctional even though I probably won't be using the other functions. Love the sucking stand that the gps comes with, very useful.
Cons:
If you play the games on the gps, it's a little hard to play (reaction is slow). I hope it would include more languages, like CHINESE! I think it's very important for a device like this to include the chinese language.

As it running WinCE, it's easy to install any GPS software you want. I update the iGO that came with and installed the maps of my country (BR).It's running perfectly.
Cons:
None at moment. Works fine for about 3~4hs without been pugled at the power.It's not so good to see with the original color schema. After personalized, it's just perfect.

Just buy it. Very reasonable price for the gadget.

- battery life is pretty short (2 hours)- SD handling via USB cable requires Microsoft Activesync, and it's really slow- SD reading/writing via SD card reader is cumbersome, TotaleCommand with Mobile extensions didn't do the trick for me- my unit came with non working firmware, it was really a job to rebuild it- Italian customs took a really long time ...- brightness is quite low, you need to place it into a shadow place inside car

It's a fairly good device, no major disappointments. Big enough screen, smaller price and no sort of protection (against other/unsigned software) bundled!
Cons:
It has quite little processing power, indeed.Car adapter broke with 2 months of use: now it short-circuits everytime I plug it in the car and blows the car's fuse. I'll patch this broken charger (power connectors at the moveable part are touching each other) with a little tape and we're good to go.
Overall:
If you want a cheap start, this is the way to go.

The navigator is constructed on system Win CE 5.0. It already unlocked. On it Russian versions iGo 8.3 and Navitel were perfectly established. Video files are lost well, without jerks. E-book supports files txt with coding UTF-8 (it for the Russian citizens). Loudspeaker loud.
Cons:
There is no Russian in the menu of the navigator. But it is not strongly necessary, as navigating systems are established in Russian.
Overall:
Gadget has pleasantly surprised me.
