Allows you to power and charge your phone in your car, useful if you use the GPS navigator (TomTom, Navigon, Sygic, etc ...) because otherwise the battery would last 2-3 hours.It has an LED that indicates when the power comes the car.The cable is quite long, when you want, but it is the right size thanks to its elongated shape.

Cons:
takes longer time to charge compared to wall socket. I found that this product may not be used for too long period of time as it will burn out your circuit board.
Overall:
Though I will say that I will stick back to this charger after its damaged, just ordered 2 more just in case. But still rule of thumb: wall socket using Genuine apple charger is still the safest.

- The plug has those "eject buttons", so if they get broken with your iPhone 3G connected - they can damage your device plug connector.- The cord might not be long enough for some people. Was the best voltage for the price. Cable is long enough for my use and the white colour matches the iPhone.
Cons:
Build quality is cheap.When I first got it ti worked with my 3GsS, then after an update to the OS, the plug stopped working most of the time. I re-updated the Os and it started working again most of the time. Not sure why, but sometimes it doesn't recognize as a proper charger
Overall:
Decent price. IT is starting to work more, maybe I need to maintain the iPhone 3GS with the most up to date OS updates. It's a bit of a pain in the butt since apple comes out with annew update every 36 seconds or so.

Verified to work with an iPhone 3GS, as well as an iPod nano 3G. Since it uses the standard iPod connector, it will work with all iPhones and iPods just fineAs others noted, it does have the locking clasps like the old style iPod connectors, but mine was working fine.Has a telephone-like coiled cable, which is nice.
Cons:
None really, except that maybe the cable is coiled a little too tightly, which makes extending the cable a little bit difficult, since it wants to 'retract' back all the time.Price is a tad high- you really end up saving only a couple of dollars off of buying one in USA (or Japan, for that matter), but hey- it works.
Overall:
Works as advertised, at a savings of a couple of dollars over what you would pay locally. Great for iPhones and iPods as well.
