H.264 Night Vision Wireless IP Cameras Customer Review!
Got the H.264 Night Vision Wireless IP Cameras today, had basic functionality going in Twenty minutes without reading the manual.
However, the video is pleasing, and you have good control over the frame rate and bit rate. It had been easy to get snapshots and video recording operational. It’s much more tied to Windows and Internet Explorer than they imply. Couldn’t get anything going with Firefox on either a Mac or Linux machine.
Setup is straighforward if you understand networking config. It’s not for a beginner. But the software seems well-written, and also the manual is usable, even when designed in broken English. Pan and tile are OK, but require quite a few key presses to maneuver through their range.
One irritating thing is really a chirping in the audio, when used with WiFi. It’s not there whenever a LAN cable is used. Audio quality into the PC is quite good otherwise. Haven’t tried audio out yet, unlikely to use it. Couldn’t get video with an Android smart phone browser, the h.264 ip cameras kept asking for the login info constantly.
