Quality gooseneck construction is better than expected. It's really easy to adjust the angle and height of the light and it stays put well. Gooseneck is the highlight of this model.I like that it runs on batteries that you can easily buy rechargeable (albeit for more cost than the cost of this unit!).
Cons:
1) LEDs on my unit had grossly uneven light output (one was far brighter than the other)2) Light output has a blue tint. It's pretty 'cold' & not very relaxing compared to the yellow warm tint of a traditional incandescent light bulb you might be used to. I compared the light output to two other LED products I own: a Petzl Tikka XP headlamp and Nokia mobile phone. Both the phone and the headlamp had a nice warmer white hue which made this unit look even worse by comparison. Clearly it can be done but it wasn't here. I suppose the price says it all.3) battery compartment is very bulky. It's virtually impossible to clip it on any book and read and hold with comfort. Which is unfortunate because quality of construction is nothing to complain about. To me this light really isn't for book-reading but other tasks where a large clip-on light is needed.
Overall:
As a book-reading device I wouldn't buy again just based on the poor LEDs and bulky clip. For other uses such as clamping on a desk or bed stand it may be more suitable, but even then I don't like its light quality but it may be OK for occasional use for some people.If I wanted something to clip onto books comfortably and unobtrusively I'd look for a model with a far thinner clip and battery pack connected with a wire (I refuse to buy devices that only run on small disposable batteries).The flexibility of the goosenecks are the highlight here. If you want long and flexible adjustments and the other things I spoke about are less critical to you, you will be pleased. You may also be pleased if you haven't tried better (more expensive) LED light output.

the idea is great. you can use it as reading light (two light sources for better illumination(no shadows), you can clip it on the book, it can stand by itself on a desk, you can clip it somewhere else..very flexible , can be bent for easier transportation.connector is good for my old nokia power adapter(great!!)
Cons:
inner workings are terrible, no pcbs (except for the led itself) , just bunch of tiny tiny wires floating in the air. seems fragile. switch buttons on the back of each light are useless (bad contact),all in all very cheaply built.why aaa's, there was plenty of room for something else (aa or even lithium)it's quite expensive for what you actually get
Overall:
great idea, but bad realization, I had to spent my time on some work to make it better (I removed bad switches and soldered new ones)I would not recommend it.

Tried to use these in a laboratory setting to illuminate small parts of a work area. They worked, and the light is white but...
Cons:
theyre not too bright to be honest. The clip thing is awkward and with batteries in it I dont know how it would go on a book, wouldnt be a comfortable read anymore, thats for sure.And the necks have minds of their own at most angles.
Overall:
There are better alternatives for reading lights. like in the centre of the room, or on the bedside table. If you need something like this to travel with, opt for a more tidy and compact version.

Great light output. The dual heads make it possible to illuminate both pages of a book at once. The heads can be switched on individually. It has a charging jack which could be used to power the device externally also. Light enough to clip on a small book with no worries. The build quality is higher than I expected for the price.
Cons:
None reallyIf anything it is too bright but I guess you can just use one light.
Overall:
Great product that perform exactly as intended. Easily puts out enough light to act as a small desk lamp.
