If you are drop-shipping or sending a gift item to someone, please make sure they are aware of the possibility of having to pay taxes when receiving the goods.
2. Please find out as much as you can about your import taxes in your own country before completing your order. If you find out information about the import tax situation in your country, and you believe there are ways to minimize the taxes you have to pay (or eliminate the taxes altogether), just tell the us what you need by putting instructions (regarding labeling, packing, declarations, invoices, etc.) in the comments field during checkout. Great little tripod for a small camera, December 3, 2010 Post by antonpoiss

Pros:
I'm a professional photographer and have used this tripod for over a year. I do NOT use it with my pro photo gear, but I do use it as a video tripod for my pocket cameras and it is perfect for that. I've been using various sorts of tripods for years (plastic ones, metal ones, small ones, big ones, bean bags etc) and this has been one of the best. None of those "falling apart" complaints like some other users have, but then I haven't exposed it to African climate either.Unlike with standard tripods or bean bags, I can really set up my pocket camera up absolutely anywhere, even hanging from a tree.
Cons:
Maybe it feels a bit flimsy, but nothing has come loose so far.
Overall:
Great little tripod for a pocket camera.
Cheap(ish) but barely worth it, November 24, 2010 Post by deelaw
Quality:
Shipping:
Price:
Pros:
- Reasonably cheap- Flexible so good for uneven terrain or hanging off branches/railings etc.- Works well for the first week
Cons:
- Build quality is TERRIBLE. I took this on holiday to Africa, it took about a week for the quick-release button at the camera mount to break, and thats when the entire thing started falling apart. It's made out of some kind of cheap plastic that wears out REALLY quick. After 4 weeks in africa I had duct-taped more than 80% of the individual joints because the plastic 'sockets' form small cracks and so the legs get loose and floppy and eventually just fall off. Since it was in my backpack the whole time I don't think this was due to exposure, it's just cheap material.
Overall:
This might still be a good buy if you aren't looking for something that's gonna last, or if you know it's going to get abused. If you want a cheap tripod for a weekend away in the jungle or something, then this is perfect. Any more than that and you should either go for better quality (and more $) or buy 5 of these and throw them away as they wear out.
Good enough, September 18, 2010 Post by Compizfox
Quality:

Price:
Pros:
- It holds my Canon EOS 1000D with kitlens without problems. (but i had to mod it, see cons)- The feet have a good grip.- It has quick mounting, so you don't need to screw and unscrew the tripod-mounting everytime.- Hij houdt mijn Canon EOS 1000D met kitlens makkelijk.- De voetjes hebben een goede grip.- Hij heeft een snelkoppeling, dus je hoeft niet telkens de statief-mounting vast- en los- te schroeven.
Cons:
- I had to lock the upper 'hinge' with glue, because it was way to loose.- Ik moest de bovenste 'schanier' blokkeren met lijm, omdat die veel te los zat.
Overall:
This is especially good for compactcamera's. To hold my DSLR, i had to mod it.
Not high quality, September 13, 2010 Post by RossT
Quality:
Shipping:
Price:
Pros:
The price made this an attractive purchase, however that's where the attraction stops.
Cons:
The part that holds the mount into the head of the tripod broke within 10 minutes of use. This means that the plate that's on the camera doesn't lock into place. It was a fault in the button that you press to release it that caused this. The tripod's legs do not feel stiff enough to hold any more than a point and shoot and the joint above the legs below where the camera mounts is very loose and wouldn't support any angle other than center.
Overall:
No go!
Useful tripod for small cameras or flashes, May 5, 2010 Post by snelpiller
Quality:

Price:
Pros:
Bought the stand thinking I could use it for my 450D, but the camera was way to heavy!Luckily I have a pocket-camera so I can use the tripod with that one instead. The tripod itself works great, you can prop it up just about anywhere.Has a quick release so you dont have to unscrew/screw it evey time you use it.
Cons:
Only for smaller cameras or remotetriggerd flashes, DSLRs are to heavy.
Overall:
If you want a cheap and good tripod that you can use just abouyt anywhere this is the one for you.Works great wrapping around light-posts or handrails.
Much better than expected, January 14, 2010 Post by theup
Quality:
Shipping:
Price:
Pros:
-Joints hold their place perfectly, even with a small DSLR (mine's an Olympus e450)-One of the very few small tripods that are actually useful, as you can bend it around objects for different camera angles-Very handy quick-release plate, with a locking ring
Cons:
-When I first received it, I couldn't press the quick-release button down far enough to release the plate. Turns out, there's a ring that turns to allow the button to depress further, which can lock and unlock the mechanism. Good feature - but an indication that it exists would make life easier for unobservant people like me!-While the joints start off stiff, it would only take one to get loose and the whole tripod would be useless
Overall:
Great, cheap tripod - use it for interesting camera angles or just as a cheap way of making your pictures look good!
So far, so good, December 29, 2009 Post by thekwijbio

Pros:
Cheaper than store-brand tripods. It's very stable, and holds my camera equipment very steady even during long exposures. Simple to setup, and to use. Grips on anything. Just wrap around anything.
Cons:
The detachable base on the tripod was extremely tight. I thought I was going to break it trying to remove it.
Overall:
Can't beat it. Get one if you need it. Nice to have in the car or in the backpack.
Its over 9000, December 16, 2009 Post by dontwasetit
Quality:
Shipping:
Price:
Pros:
- The price, the price!!- Mount your DSLR on a doorknob- Its flexy- Fits into smaller camera bags
Cons:
- I cant find extra "quick release" heads- Smells funny- Sucka MC's always trying to front- The high friction parts could be more stickyer.
Overall:
Order a few for your flashes and whatnot. Your not going to regret this one.
Good as the original, December 2, 2009 Post by NirreFirre
Quality:

Price:
Pros:
I use it with a Nikon D50 and a prime lens and for that it rocks. Putting on the 18-200 VR obviously makes it fall over but I was surprised of how rigid the joints were and how secure the "feet" are when used on proper surfaces (not that great on cloth or certain, rare, types of plastic). Excellent price
Cons:
The quick release plate didn't come off on arrival (you press the round, black button under the head) since the locking, plastic hinge was too "high" and couldn't "get away" from the sliding plate. I managed to use a knife to both push-bend it out and also shave a good 2mm (ca 0.08 in) away from the top of the lock. It's now working like a dream.
Overall:
Very good, stable and useful for even medium DSLRs with small lenses if modified a bit (or getting a good sample from the start).
Great Value for this Close Alternative, July 13, 2009 Post by satay
Quality:
Shipping:
Price:
Pros:
-Cheap!!!!!-Works just like the Gorillapod!!!-Comes with a removable plate that you can take out and put on the camera base, makes it very easy to mount the camera whenever you want on the tripod.-Excelly usable for light cameras. If you plan to use on compacts, this pod definately can hold that kind of weight. no doubt about that.
Cons:
-Quality not as good as the actual gorilla, but for that kind of price, it is worth it.-Not really secure as the gorilla slr-zoom. a canon 50D with kit lens is about the limit, heavier zoom lenses should be used on stable grounds only.
Overall:
A must have. Great Great Great product with a price tag like this.
