- Decent build quality- Feels solid- Batteries came fully charged- Focusable- Burns matches, smokes black paper etc.- Package does not look supercool, but is hard enough to protect it during shipping (although the laser itself seems to be durable enough to survive shipping without package)
Cons:
- No charger included (but sku.2031 is pretty cheap)- No focusing scale, thus while focusing you have to stare at the dot risking damaging your eyes- On/off switch would better be on the side so that can be pressed with thumb while holding so it can be turned off faster- One of rubber seal rings have crackles in it, like it had been stored in very cold temp for some time- Output power is much lower than 200mW, that seems to be the rating power of used diode, but much light is lost in optics

- Very well buit- Appers waterprof (has rubber rings in the screws)- It´s focusable, what is good to see the ligth trail in the night.- Good focus ring, very precise.- Reflected point visible even in day light.- Not appears a toy - nor it is! - Batteries came in good condition.- The package is a joke but is resistent.

- I think the on/off switch should be near the thumb what I think is more ergonomic and less dangerous. I use this equipment to point at the stars and is awful to use two hands everytime the beam must be turned off. I warn, do not point the beam to anyone, or anything close, cause the reflection may cause damage to naked eye. So I think a thumb operated switch (may be backed up by the rear switch) is interesting.ATTENTION: The laser switch was turned on when I received. When I put the batteries and try to screw a giant red beam crossed the room. So point it to a a safe and distant place (>5m) when load it.
Overall:
USE IT WITH PROTECTIVE GLASSES! Very strong light beam. Good product, good value but it is NO TOY. Use with responsability.

-Warning Label is way too big! It will get in the way of focusing the laser, I had to remove mine.-Comes with 3.0V rechargeable batteries, I wanted another set but 3.0V CR123A's are very hard to find. I bought 3.2V ahead of time for this laser, only to find out that it takes 3.0V-Hurts my eyes from just looking at the laser dot when focus, even while wearing sunglasses, I recommend buying protective eye gear, but it is completely unnecessary-Kinda big

- Nice, sturdy body and good O-rings with rubber ring to seal them- Heatsink is very good and professional-looking- Focus head is tight and doesn't move easily enough for the head to turn on it's own.- When properly focused, can light matches in 2-5 seconds and make newspaper smoke almost instantly.- Button glows in the dark
Cons:
- Inside module is glued vertically to the heatsink and touches the batteries directly via a spring. Not sure if it's strong enough not to get damaged.- Warning label might get in your way when focusing. I took it off and placed it inside the battery compartment.
Overall:
Recommended as a gift or personal purchase. As fun as it seems, it is a burning (class IIIb) laser and you should take great care when using it. Get yourself a decent pair of rechargeable, protected CR123A's and a charger and you have a great burning laser kit.

I think the best property of this laser is its ability to focus and build quality. It came with two CR123 batteries rated at 1000mAh (I didn't verify this rating). And the batteries were functional when they arrived. I also ordered sku.1236 with this laser, which is a nice CR123 battery charger. Once focused, the laser burns matches at a distance of about one-two meters. But you really have to focus the beam well. I also burned holes on a black CD case. Burn time varied in the range of 8-10 sec. Perhaps the better the focus, shorter the burn time.
Cons:
Focusing head works well. However I didn't like the "Danger: Laser Radiation" label. It's too big and kinda annoying. It should be smaller.
Overall:
Nicely build quality laser. I like it. This is my first order from DE so I can't compare it with other lasers. But I recommend it.

Focus is perfect.Build is second to none.CR123 battery is awesome to use in this and is better than the other models I have in the higher price range.Burns through a CD case in under 5 seconds.It IS waterproof believe it or not?

The batteries that come with it are dead, but they are the cheap ones anyway, and probably wouldn't last 5 min in this laser.
