Although the outer construction is indeed steel the inner legs are thin aluminium so don't throw it around.The locking mechanism is also not that great, it is fine for light cameras but anything heavy and it tends to droop unless you apply a good amount of force locking it.Finally the feet slip quite easily on smooth surfaces, it would have been nice for proper anti-slip rubber.
Overall:
For the price this is a very useful thing to have, I frequently find myself reaching for it when taking pictures that require low shutter speeds.So if you need a tripod and are on a budget this is something you really should get.

Cons:
The Lock (For the ball Joint) The thing you turn to lock seems not that tight? Time will tell if it will hold up.

Very lightweight item, compact, easy to be carried. Easy fixation of camera using regular tripod screw (you can attach to virtually every still camera or video camera). Legs are expandable with ease.
Cons:
Can be used only with compact cameras. Leg's can't be locked (or I still haven't find the way how to do that...) in extended position.
Overall:
Pefect for situation, when camera would be simply place on the bare wall, rock etc. - this tripod makes it much more secure, stabile and comfort, while you still can adjust camera's position, angle etc. to capture desired shot.

This tripod looks nice. It is very light metal and very easy to put in your pocket. When open it is relatively stable. The screw mount is well machined and fits cameras and the like very well. The head can tilt on one side.
Cons:
Being so light, it can't support most cameras except the most compact ones. Also, while the head can tilt, the tripod easily topples over if you tilt it with a camera on.
Overall:
It is ok if you must hold a very light camera. Not as much if your camera is a bit heavier, as the stability is not very high.

It works like it is supposed to.When closed is surprisingly small,but it expands to a height that is quite functional. This will fit in most small camera bags,and can be used on most cameras and camcorders. It really is metal,not cheap plastic.
Cons:
None really for it's size and for what most people will use it for,this just works.

Ok... Lets start with the pros...The build quality is ok.. It does feel a little stiff and feels like its going to break if you pull to hard..It supported my Sony Cybershot and my sony camcorder that I bought about a year ago. It held up all night and didn't fall over.You can put it in different angles for videos or pictures. And its 8inches
Cons:
The con is the price.. I mean 4.64 is kinda expensive just for this little thing..I sound cheap but it's true in my opinion.
Overall:
Get it if you want to make videos and take pictures.

the mini tripod is small and lightweight, with expendable legs, and a tilt/ball rotating head, it holds smaller cameras very well, however it is unable to stand the weight of larger slr sized camerasmy reason for buying was to use them as tripod for off the camera flashes, they worked well for the time i used them
Cons:
the screw you have to tighten to keep it steady often comes loose and is hard to get tight, i found that turning the scrw towards you rather then away from you makes the hold better
Overall:
if you are planning on using this for off teh camera flashes, dont, go buy a cheap larger tripod (150cm or more) for around $15 (i got mine from dick smith electronics) at $15 each.

First of all, the legs can be extended for the full length and then later retracted so that it is easier to carry around. The extended part of the legs has this solid metal construction feeling. 8 inches should be just right for a mini tripod.
Cons:
The first thing I noticed is actually the legs are quite hard to pull out, extend, that is. I also wonder if the retracted state of the tripod's leg (the outer side) is made of plastic? I don't think its metal.
Overall:
This tripod is what I called the average for a mini tripod as it is not too short nor too long or big to carry it around. It should still be portable enough for you to carry it around virtually anywhere.

This tripod is small and reasonably sturdy, although it would not be able to support larger digital cameras. It is very portable and handy to bring along in case you want to do fun shots of yourself or for other usage where your camera needs to be kept immobile on a surface.
Cons:
Not very sturdy and ball head can lose its grip on your camera rather easily. But nothing terrible for the money.

Awesome tripod, cheap. If you're just looking around to play with basic video this a good cheap gadget. Easy to take apart and put back together. I'm surprised how much metal this has at the price. This holds my camera even on its side, without falling over.
Cons:
None at all, other than its a bit hard to get it completely level. The external material of legs is plastic.
Overall:
Buy it if you need it. A very good value. It's a tripod, what else to say about it?
