This is a very simple USB Bluetooth dongle.Inside is a epoxy-blob silicon on PCB chip. (did not note the reported chipset, sorry)Has an external crystal as can be seen on pictures.It has a on-PCB trace antenna with no possibility of connecting an external antenna.
Cons:
The case is made of good plastic but it doesn't hold together. You'll have to re-glue it or tape or just use it as it is.Firmware is burned onto the chip so it has no external memory IC that could be read and modified and tinkered with.It does not have pads for mounting an SMD coaxial connector for external antenna.
Overall:
Works under all 2.6 Linux with no problems.

Cons:
- The small plastic protective cap of the USB connector is a bit loose. So any sudden movement can unattach the cap. Result: Don't even think of using this gadget as a keychain, unless you are willing to loose the protective USB connector cap.

I just love it. My laptop doesn't have a built in bluetooth device, so this gadget work as a charm.Now I can connect, browse and share files with my mobile phone without the need of wires.

The BlueSoleil sofware coming with the device is a useless evaluation version and XP's built-in drivers don't seem to support audio transfer which is what I bought it for. Yep you can google for hacked versions but better not give any value for your time.. The real BlueSoleil is something like ~100MB package apparently behind a 56k modem and they had put some considerably effort to make it easy looking (big icons etc, you know) enough I couldn't figure out how to do something useful. Tried to get Broadcom I'm familiar with but didn't have enough hours or nerves to get it working.
Overall:
Would have bought a $10 version that includes proper drivers if I had known.

I needed a BT dongle to use it on my netbook, that come without hardware BT support by default. This dongle has worked fine so far (using several versions of Ubuntu and dialects), mainly as a means of connecting to my mobile phone and using it as a GSM modem to connect to the Internet (thank you unlimited 1.2€/day Spanish YOIGO GSM Internet access :-) )
Cons:
None so far, at least none that can be blamed at the device. With several versions of Linux the dongle worked only the first time after startup, then it was unable to find any more BT enabled devices even after scanning for them several times.But the problem was Linux and specifically the KDE BT support, that was broken for a few versions. There were some BT dongles that worked and other ones that didnt', but it was KDE BT stack and not the dongle itself. Worked ok on Windows XP all the time.
Overall:
Inexpensive and reliable BT 2.0 dongle that works fine on (Ubuntu) Linux and Windows XP. Way cheaper than buying the netbook with the added BT support :-)

Small, has a green diode that helps you find it in the dark, tested on range of up to 15 meters on open and 5 meters in concrete building with steel support... easy to use and easy to install, tested with windows XP, windows 7 and Linux Ubuntu.
Cons:

Overall:
Works fine with latest operating systems, and latest specialized 3rd party software. I reached pretty high transfer speeds with it and got it to work on high range for this type of device (cheap device). Looks pretty cool and shiny, you might say classy :)

Nice looking, its not that small like the popular dongle so you can see it good and its easy-to-use.Also there is a green light indicator when the Dongle is active thats a big pro for me..
Cons:
You cant sent mulitple files at once to the dongle. You have to do it single handed one by one.

Pros: Nice shape, Not too small (like other gadgets) which is good if you plan on using it on a long term(meaning that you can't loose it that easy).I've been using it with my HP (windows OS so far,but I suppose it works under Linux also) with a bluetooth device (cell phone).
