How it works is simple. Install a pair of "AA" batteries (tip: use alkalines, not rechargeables). Hold it in your hand and pinch (gently but firmly) the two halves of the unit together for about 2-3 seconds. You'll see the element get red-hot. Open the unit and pinch it around the open end of a bag. Slide it across the opening and the element will rapidly melt the plastic to create a new sealed barrier. Un-pinching the unit will break the contact and cool the element, which can be touched without injury almost instantly. This means that even children can use it safely.
Cons:
Batteries need to have full charge, otherwise it will take some time to seal the bag
Overall:
The cheap-feeling nature of the unit. The whole of the unit is pressure molded plastic and doesn't feel like it would survive too many falls off the kitchen counter. The top half is held on with a simple hinge that doesn't open nearly as much as you'd think. Taken as a whole there's no other way to say it: It simply looks and feels cheap. A more ergonomic shape, better quality plastics, or even a textured finish to give it better grip would have improved this product immensely.

It really works as expected. Easy to seal but you need to practice to seal it nicely. It is very compact and portable and able to seal any plastic bag. It is quite cheap at this price for something handy.
Cons:
Need to practice to seal the plastic bag. Holding posture is quite important as well. You need to control the speed of sealing to seal it well.
Overall:
Get it if you constantly are still using rubberbands to tie up your plastic bags. This is very handy and useful. Be careful not to touch the heating element as it is quite hot when sealing.

Cons:
Requires some getting used to: it's not that easy to correctly hold the bag (it must be held straight or it won't work well), press the sealer and move the bag at the correct speed (too slow and the plastic melts, too fast and it won't seal) -- all at the same time.
Overall:
If you don't like stuff lying uncovered on the fridge this is a good option.

It does what it is intended for: seals the plastic bags. The build quality is quite good.
Cons:
The biggest con is that the bag sould be dry along the sealing line. That's not usually the case when sealing most kinds of food. You need to move it along the line with certain speed that needs to get used to.Needs some time to pre-heat
Overall:
Since some time is required so pre-heat it seems to be only useful when you seal a lot of bags at once. If you need to seal one bag you'd better get a bag with a zip lock. Also it is much more useful for sealing dry stuff.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this item.I expected it to be worse quality, but it's actually well built.It works perfectly with batteries and can also use a 3V AC adapter (not included) but I haven't tested that because I don't have one.It warms up very quickly and it's very easy to use.
Cons:
It could have included the AC adapter (I wouldn't mind to pay a bit more to have it included).You need to practise a little bit at first to get used to it, otherwise you'll break the plastic.
Overall:
Great product to protect your items from dust and store them well sealed, as well as for keeping your lunch fresh.

This item is great for sealing small plastic bags, if the plastic is thin. Warms up very quickly, and that is even on battery power!The battery also makes it very usable all around the house, because you don’t have to think about were to get the power from.
Cons:
It takes some getting used to, but thats worth it. The knife part is pretty useless, the blade is not super sharp, so its easier just to grab a real knife. Another very frustrating thing, is that there is no adapter included, but there is a plug for it. The plastic bag can be very hard to seal if it’s to big. Also if you have a very this or very thick plastic bag, it can be very difficult.
Overall:
This is a great tool for the daily lunch packaging, I haven't regret buying it despite of all the cons. I would say it’s definitely worth the money, go buy it :)
