They work quite well. I've bought 10 of these since i've readc they weren't too bright but they were perfect for my bedroom wich is a 3x3 mts room. Using 2 of them made the trick, the colours change at a nice speed (not too fast, althoug a bit slower would've made it pefect)They are quite tough, the only one that stopped working was the one i gave to a co-worker for his son... and it stopped working after the kid smashed it 5 times in a row with quite strenght.
Cons:
the only cons i've found is like i said, it would be perfecto if the speed of how fast colour chang4es would be a bit slower.
Overall:
it's nice to decorate a room at night, it works perfectly in small rooms, will need a couple more for bigger places.Here somethig like this would cost at least twice of what i've paid here and would be of worst quality.

i've got it only yesterday , i thought it would be bigger but it's ok too. i'm very happy with it, & mom asked me to buy another one ,too. it's very decorative , light is bright for indoor using ,build quality is very respectable , didn't think that this price can get such a 5 star item. but when i hold it it looks that it worth even a higher price .i've spent 30 min looking at it wondering what's happening inside :) it's fun to spend time looking at it. i'd buy another one so soon, or maybe more.

Mi kids love it. They use it as a night light. The plastic is strange, to the view seems "cool" (like snow).The light is soft enought for the kids to sleep, but strong to see it even with lights on.
Cons:
Mine came with empty batteries and the switch in on... lucky I have 3 bateries from a cell toy because I think that it cost more than the ball itself.

I bought these to make led-poi's and they work really well for that. Just use two old thin women's socks and two of these and you've got yourself some awesome led-poi's. Of course they work better when it's dark. Much safer than fire-poi's. The plastic is a bit bendeable so they're not to hard when you hit yourself with them.
Cons:
No cons, they're just great.
Overall:

Its a good wee light to have on a shelf somewhere to give some soft mood lighting when its dark. Not so large as to be a bother, not to small as to be lost

Ummm only cycles through the colours (if there is a way to have three modes I haven't found it).But honestly for a con its not to much .. just turn it on and leave it to it ..
