Great deal, the mouse button works really good. Much better than expected after reading reviews of similar products. I didn't get it for the mouse function. Got it basically to control the volume and move to the next item on a play list. It's simple enough to set up to anyone who would order this and knows what they want out of it. If you want to use this as a mouse from a distance it will do the job but that's more of a bonus they included on this remote. It's really not easy to type in words or web addresses with the remote but that's another thing I look at as a bonus they didn't have to include. This remote is for media players, not for web browsing.
Cons:
Short cable (IR receptor). The quality of the receiver is quite poor, and the cable seems to break easily. Not all the buttons work in all systems, so you need a program to manage that. If you are a little far of the receiver, you need to align it with the control, it is quite directive.
Overall:
Really easy to use, really easy to install in linux and windows, no drivers needed at all

This thing is amazing. It's literally plug and play. Works fine in any windows version without drivers. It's detected as HID device and emulates keyboard and mouse. It has button for everything you will ever need on HTPC plus 4 shortcut buttons. I am using it with XBMC and it's awesome. Range is 10m or more which is quite good for 8 bucks remote.
Cons:
It lacks standby button. The power button just shuts down the PC and most of us with HTPC are using S3 Standby so we can wake them with wireless keyboard/mouse.
Overall:
If you need it get it. I have both wireless keyboard and mouse (2.4Ghz) for my HTCP and they do just fine for browsing, games, typing etc, but when it comes to XBMC this thing is great. I can finally put my bulky keyboard/mouse aside and use this on my coffee table.

Works plug and play with Windows 7Is directly working in most of the programs i use (XBMC, Spotify, Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic. And this without even installing a driver. Awesome.Remote feels quite sturdy, which isn't always the case with these cheapo remotes from foreign countries
Cons:
When it arrived, the remote wasn't working (i checked with my cell phone camera if i saw the IR led blinking, which wasn't the case). I had to open the remote and bend the battery pins a little bit so the battery made contact.

You will never get out of ur couch to press 'space' to pause ur videos again! It will also change videos, volume, etc. Just the IR we know from TVs DVDs in ur pc/notebook.

Very simple installation, plug and play, very useful buttons. I connected it to my laptop and I use my laptop to stream videos from the internet while it is connected to my 42" TV. I was looking for a cheap way to keep me in the couch and avoiding the need to approach the laptop for pause or video change.
Cons:
The included battery was very weak, I had to replace it. The IR is not that good, you really have to point the remote to the receiver.

I use it every day because I love watching series lying in my bed, and I hate standing up to change the cap or the vol. I don't know how i could live without this.All the buttons work on Windows XP. However, on Ubuntu, I haven't been able to use a lot of these. Surely I need to config somethig, but it is my problem, the remote control works Excelent.I tested it on a Macbook, and work too, althout you have to configure this as a keyboard.
