the best you could get for the price paid. i haven't dropped it on the floor and see if it sustains, but i can feel the quality. finishing is pretty good and the good thing is it works, what good is it if it's pretty and doesn't work?
Cons:
i dont' see any, althou mine could have been a little better in quality(it has those quage or measures paint spreaded in a corner), i don't see it as a con as the device build quality is far better than i imagined for a beginner.
Overall:
i would recommend to buy it even if it's the first time you are buying a compass.

Test carried out with other more robust getting the same result.The material used in the product is not as soft as it looks in photos.Very good size, thereby facilitating the transportation of it. It's a working compass, very clear shiny plastic case, mine has no bubbles in it and no scratches over the surface (yet). The arrow moves easily.
Cons:
I could use a keychain ring, but it isn't a keychain compass so that is not really a con.
Overall:

Nice size and construction for the price. Won't take hard knocks but you wouldn't expect it to. The fluid fill gives a good balance between the steadiness of the needle anf the time it takes to settle. Looks OK and has glow-in-the-dark cardinal points.
Cons:
Very easily deflected by the proximity of iron/steel/nickel objects. This indicates that the needle is not very strongly magnetized. The downside of this is that you have to be very careful that you are taking a true reading.
Overall:
Good for use as a backup - you can't expect more at this price.

Handy to have in the pocket when you’re in the woods. Not the biggest or the best protected, but if you have a lot of gear with you, you don’t want to have something heavy in your pocket. The red arrow points north. May be useful in a big city to have one in your car if you don’t have a GPS device.
Cons:
I’m really missing a lanyard hole or some form of an attachment capability. It’s round, flat and could easily be lost.

-It's pretty forgiving with what angle you hold it at; it doesn't have to be on a completely flat surface and it will still read north.-The needle points towards north pretty quickly.-It's easy to read, and has degree markings around the inside.
Cons:
-It's kind of bulky.-It's not on a keychain or attached to any other bauble that would make it easier to carry around.-The plastic on the top seems like it could be easilly scratched.
Overall:
If you need a usable compass on the cheap, and can wait a few weeks for delivery, get this one.

The only thing it has going is the price. Appears to work sometimes.
Cons:
As mentioned, the compass sticks when leaned to the side. My arrows are also reversed. Small things but given the price, I wasn't expecting much. Wanted to give something for my son to play with on our next camping trip.
Overall:
For under two bucks, was not expecting much. Need to work with the item's limitation to make it usable. Will probably throw it into the toys box and get a better one.

The needle gets stuck by leaning too far one way or the other. You have to have it resting at a perfect position to use it properly. What good is it if you can't read it right away, you decide I guess, doesn't seem too reliable
