Excellent EDC light, April 29, 2011 Post by Flashlight 9V BLACK

Pros:
This is an excellent flashlight, compact, bright, and light weight for every day carry (EDC). Can be easily mounted with a standard 1-inch accessory ring and a bit of loctite. I've used this light on both air soft and actual firearms and it stood up fine on both fronts. The firearms I've used it on were a Ruger 10/22 - .22lr, and an SKS - 7.62x39mm, so after using it on the SKS its clear this light can handle a reasonable amount of recoil and still operate.I've used mine a number of times in heavy rain and haven't had an issue.Replacement bulbs are extremely cheap!Batteries are cheap here on DE. Just as bright as a comparable surefire which cost about 10 times the price. The brightness often stupefies friends.
Cons:
The finish is prone to wear, quite a few of the raised surfaces of my light have been worn down to the bare metal. Battery life is quite low, I don't usually get more than 35 minutes out of mine using two 3.6v CR123A rechargeables, make sure you always have a fresh pair charged and check the light before you go out.
Overall:
I've used this light for around a year and a half has my EDC light and its stood up to a fair amount of use, both as a weapon light and an EDC light (a few times has been used as a makeshift hammer for some light impact work ;)Try carrying it around with you for a week, I bet you'll never leave the house without it. And if you're buying this for EDC, grab a glow in the dark button for it.
Good incan, December 11, 2010 Post by mameluco
Quality:
Shipping:
Price:
Pros:
1. Aluminum reflector.2. Glass lens.3. Orings in the correct places.4. Very bright incan bulb
Cons:
1. Not well built as other WF-501B here.2. Arrived with threads dirt3. The bulb was mis-aligned, so i had to adjust the bulb into pill to get the correct beam pattern.
Overall:
Good deal! Especially because it's warm colour (incan bulb) its good for outdoors.... Produces a nice spot with good spill. And its price is very affordable.

Awesome P60 host, February 19, 2010 Post by thegnostic

Price:
Pros:
Came lubricated and o-ringedEasy P60 drop-in, fits nice.Fits 18650 batteries.Stock 9v bulb compatible with 2 16340 protected cells.Very Bright, nice warm beam.Crenelated bezel not overly sharp. Will fit in standard scope rings to be weapon mounted.Reverse clicky has momentary on half press.LOW cost, solid build.
Cons:
Tailcap is has a strange mushy feel. Can't tailstand.Battery/Batteries rattle in body, even protected 18650.
Overall:
Of the 4 different P60 hosts I received today from Dx, this was my favorite as well as the cheapest. Highly recommend.
Nice light for the price, August 2, 2009 Post by 300ZXTT
Quality:

Price:
Pros:
hard to beat it for the price. with some good rechargeable cr123's, this thing is as bright or brighter than my surefire. glass lens- doesn't distort and melt like my surefire plastic lens has from too much heat.clicky switch - I get tired of the momentary on buttons that you have to hold.
Cons:
the ones I have ordered have not come with an o-ring on the bezel where it threads down holding the bulb assembly in. I have had to add the o-ring to all that I've ordered. some o-rings break the first time you take it apart because they were never greased.
Overall:
Great small light. The xenon bulb has lots of spill and works like a good flood. Grab the LED 11836 and it throws like crazy.
Review of Superfire 9V, October 28, 2008 Post by wCSharp
Quality:
Shipping:
Price:
Pros:
Pros: - Very solid bezel- My unit's O-rings actually game greased and therefore opening/closing was fantastic- 9V bulb allows for 2 CR123 batteries, unlike most other flashlights- Solid contact between bulb contact and battery contact- The light has a really nice hotspot and is one of the brightest lights on Dealextreme- THE PRICE IS UNBELIEVABLE.
Cons:
- The back rubber clicker button feels slightly rigid, however got used to it after a few clicks- The flashlight does get warm after 10 minutes, simply because of thinner walls for a lighter flashlight- Not waterproof glass on the front side, however the rubber clicker backside is sealed. Splashes are probably fine.
Overall:
Definitely got the bang for the buck!
Fair light for price, September 18, 2008 Post by bikenjam

Price:
Pros:
Bright, i doubt its 215 lumens, although its close, guessing about 175, so no too bad. solid build, easy to change out module to LED upgrade. O ring seals on all threaded ends. Can't find a light like this for the price, great value.
Cons:
10watts! 30-45 min run time on two 3.6 lithiums. Button fairly hard, might require user to use thumb nail. Typical black finish that can scratch fairly easy. no regulation. gets warm after a while. Doesn't always seem to work with regular cr123a batteries
Overall:
a great light to use as a host for a better LED module. At this price, you don't have to worry too much about it.
Quality dropped but prrice remained, June 3, 2008 Post by Peterlm

Price:
Pros:
Price is still affordable but hass lots of issues with this batch of three that I received.
Cons:
The Quality of this product has dropped in comparison to the 3 other batches that I bought a few months back. The diameter of the inner tubing is too large and using unprotected 16340s will cause a lot of rattling in the tube. Two of the UltraFire models that I received had a spacer to separate the Xenon module and the batteries, however the contact points for the batteries to the Xenon module is just a low quality metal rivet which opens up in a flowery form and is a very lousy electrical conductor.I had to screw the head of the Xenon module to a sweetspot and could not screw the head to fully tighten otherwise the Xenon module would not light up.
Overall:
Hopefully DE can inform the manufacturer to buck up on their quality. I dont mind receiving UltraFire or SuperFire units but the quality should be better than now.
Great value, May 9, 2008 Post by kramer5150

Price:
Pros:
-Cheap... VERY Cheap. Its the same price as a AA Minimag Incan, and half the price of a 2D Mag Incan.-Very bright, and a nice mix of throw and flood and a smooth transition between the two. As far as lumens & ceiling bounce tests go, its somewhere in between my DE11836 and DE6090 drop in modules, but closer to the 11836.-Accepts DE/BOG shaped drop ins as well as standard Surefire P60L-Tight fitting O-rings that are water tight all around. Those who lube well will be rewarded, those who don't will be punished.-Glass Lens. Although its not removable, so if it cracks I think you'll just have to buy a new light.-Lighter than my 6P, yet still feels solid. It doesn't feel as cheap as my Task Force.-Switch-cap is air/water tight-Decent heat-sinking-Decently well machined, NO WHERE near as crudely machined as my Lowes Task Force. Almost on-par with my Nuwai lights.-Decently smooth threads. Again not as smooth as Nuwai, and no where near as luxurious as a Surefire... but considerably cleaner cut than Lowes Task Force. Silicone grease works great.-Reverse clicky pressure is just about right not too hard and not too soft and it works just fine out of the box.-Water tight switch cap.-9Volt Xenon module Accepts RCR123 as well as Primary cells.
Cons:
-Cells rattle a lot, although theres probably enough room for a single 17mm diameter cell. Others have commented that 18650 cell does not fit.-OEM Xenon module has a LOT of scratches in the OP finish. This was a real bummer, and probably my biggest complaint. Theres literally patches of area where the metallic coating has been scraped off.-Large spring on the Xenon module is cut very crudely. It gives a strange scraping kind of feel against the body as you tighten down the bezel. At first I thought it was the threads and O-ring, but its the spring on the module. This can be alleviated with a better quality drop in module.-Strange texture finish around the bezel. Its finished like an old Vinyl record, with small grooves cut around it. IMHO they should have just left it smooth.-The retaining ring in my switchcap had to be tightened a 1/2 turn, they should have done this at the factory.-Window glass in the bezel is not water tight.-Anti-roll bezel grooves are too small, so it will easily roll ff a table thats not flat.-Mine came with a couple small scuff marks and scratches around the bezel. I was able to fix them with a sharpie pen, but that will probably wear off at some point. I know its free, but DE really should pack some of their shipments better. I for one would be willing to pay for it.
Overall:
Great value... Its $9!! thats the same price as a 2AA Incan MiniM@g.Although the build quality could be better. Expect to spend some time tweeking things to get it just right. While still bright, the reflector should not have this many scratches in it.
Very Good Deal, March 20, 2008 Post by sontakke
Quality:
Shipping:
Price:
Pros:
Very good output on RCR123A batteriesGreat priceMine had very good build quality; great threads and good reverse clicky. As a matter of facts, it is built so well that I could not even see the seam where bezel attaches to the head. It is also hefty largely due to its overly thick battery tube.
Cons:
Body is too thick; it barely takes protected RCR123A batteries. Forget about 17xxx or 18xxx batteries! It is also battery eater. It pulls in 1.3A from the 2x RCR123A. It will not last more than 30 minutes
Overall:
This is my first high performance Xenon light and I am happy with it. I do wish it was bored for 18xxx light. Because it also takes the standard drop-in, you can have fun with 6+ V drop-ins very cheaply
