It is very bright! I live in a very open area, and while it is still bright outside, I can see the beam hit the forrest about 150 meters away! The built quality is also suprisingly good!
Cons:
Not much to say, except that there are some space around the batteries, and they makes a sound when you shake it. I fixed this by kutting a little bit of paper and wrap it around the batteries.They put a tape on the case, so when you rip it off it will tear the material up.
Overall:
For this price, GO FOR IT! :D

-It's pretty cheap, only $1 more than the 20mw laser-You can see the beam, and it's pretty strong (at night at least)-Reaches far distances

-Got the box mashed, but it wasn't much of a problem-For some reason, I gotta press the button harder so it will actually turn on. Haven't had this issue with the 20mw/50mw.
Overall:
Pretty good laser, but don't expect it to light up matches and pop balloons without a black spot. If you're buying it, make sure you buy it only for show, and not for it's burning capability, that's what we have red lasers for :)Also, I'd suggest you to get rechargeable batteries and a charger, as this thing eats the batteries fairly quickly.

I'm surprised by the quality of the device. It feels solid and nice to hold.The laser beam is by far the best I have ever seen on a cheap laser pen. It is perfectly collimated to a fine dot.Laser beam looks very bright. The beam itself is easily visible in the dark.It even makes small burn marks on thin black plastic bags, so I believe the power is as stated.
Cons:
Battery compartment is a bit large i.e. you can hear the batteries rattle if you shake it.It won't pop ballons - you need more power for that.No IR filter - watch your eyes..!!The gift-box it comes in is some cheap crap..

- no IR filter (sometimes the green laser doesn't seem to work but actually it is working, but the crystal has moved away so the full 30 mw is IR radiation instead of green, as I found out by filming it (purple on camera when invisible for your eye = IR)
