Great Torch!, March 4, 2011 Post by SSC P7-C 900-Lumen LED Flashlight (2*18650/17670)<
Quality:
Shipping:
Price:
Pros:
Well sealed, O rings at every connection. Throw is approx 30' wide at 200yards with a surrounding 100' residual flood light. One click operation...not good for anything close, too bright!!
Cons:
Heat may be an issue in summer months but its winter here now with temps in the 20-30F so no worries thus far.
Overall:
Get one and embarrass anybody that bought a 3watt LED Maglite for the same price...
Did anyone get batteries?, January 8, 2011 Post by NICKYTURBO

Pros:
They look really well made, they aren't too heavy and I'm sure they are very bright as it's the same emmitter as my mate's bike headlight and that's awesome!
Cons:
Can't use them as I've no batteries:(
Overall:
They look well built and I'm sure they'll be excellent when I get some batteries and get them operational!
P7 with a nice throw, December 11, 2010 Post by mameluco

Price:
Pros:
Its single mode.Flood is quite impressive, it produces a great amount of light, it lights up a wide area and has a nice throw also due to its large head.2 batteries gets you longer runtime.Aluminum reflector.Glass lens.Orings everywhere.Well built.Came lubed and with enough thermal paste.
Cons:
Price is a bit high.
Overall:
Gets warm after 10 minutes of use.I'd recommend it for who needs to illuminate a wide area and needs some throw.
good value for the price, May 11, 2010 Post by Culverjoe

Pros:
cheap, good quality. single mode. good spot.
Cons:
emitter pill screws into reflector, threads into the crown, which threads into the body (unthread the crown, and the reflector/emitter comes with it) The emitter connects to the housing via springs. consequently, head dissipation is poor, and damage may result after prolonged use (draws 1.7A from two 18650s!).
Overall:
great value. if you're looking for a good, cheap, single mode, 700 lumen or so, two 18650 light, this is the one!
Amazing flashlight, February 19, 2010 Post by DongBag

Pros:
i have many flashlights 3 surefires, and 5 inovas. and this flashlight blows them away.its brighter than a inova t4, and t3 which are both rated at 150 lumens. im a fighter in Los angeles so a great is a must. all the other guys want one. there all t4 flashlight users, and surefire g2. this makes them seem like cheap maglites.
Cons:
battery life. really isnt a con. it uses 4 16340 or 3 of them if you take out the extension tube. and there is no difference in using 3 or 4, with or without the extension tube. i left it on for about a good 3 hours while i worked on fire alarm water gong bell in a hospital.
Overall:
a must have light. great price, free shipping, will blow away any light you have. its 40 dollars, other lights from other places are about 300-800 dollars and for less lumens. you just pay for the name. GET RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
Works really well - I'm pleased!, February 13, 2010 Post by YumCha

Pros:
Was not sure when I first ordered this light. Was pleasantly surprised with the build quality and the light output. Clean and clear beam. The light works well with two 18650 cells. I've tried the 3.7V TrustFire "true" protected 2400mAh cells, as well as the UltraFire protected cells and both work and fit well.
Cons:
Others have said the light is somewhat "unbalanced" when in operation. While the light does have a narrow body, and a large head, I've not found this to be a problem in the way I grip and hold the light.
Overall:
A good light for the money. Bright, white light, that provides loads of illumination on the darkest Alaska nights.
Great for Sercurity or camping..., December 12, 2009 Post by TEREK

Pros:
Very bright, way brighter then my first LED torch, a luxen 5W star. No comparison and less than half the price too. The Batteries are strange size but I guess necessary for power needs. looks like it would be water proof (O ringed) doesn't mean it would be. would be quite strong being thick machined and glass at least doesn't scratch like plastic lenses. Just a slight foggy haze set in the lense that was hard to remove, maybe some chemical residue? Hate that and dust in the reflector. Not sure on the burn time yet hope it is an hour plus :)Good spot and flood balance 100 metres good as or better than the 10M H4 candle power spotty and not as bulky.
Cons:
None really but I haven't yet going more than 7 minutes use but it does get a little warm but nothing major so the heaviness of billet seems to dissipate the heat ok.
Overall:
I'm sure next year Seoul probably have a 2k lumen LED out but still can't complain about this for the price.
Great for bike, July 29, 2009 Post by niemo

Price:
Pros:
Really bright spot and bright spill. Mounted on a bike, I know that cars and pedestrians can see me coming. Pointing the light ahead I can see 10 seconds in front of me and all the parked card, cracks and potholes; I point it down when I see oncoming traffic to avoid blinding them. Also useful as a work light, since it puts out as much light as a light you would plug into the wall.Better than expected build quality, although there were a few burrs I had to pick off. Feels very sturdy. Switch is reverse-clicky and feels solid. Light color is similar to the color of HID xenon car headlamps.
Cons:
Light seemed to dim a bit after a minute of use. There was a piece of Kapton tape between the LED and brass pill, presumably to provide electrical insulation. The problem is, Kapton is also a good heat insulator. I replaced the tape and epoxy (peeled right off) with Arctic Silver thermal grease and a mica insulator. There is enough slack in the connecting wires to allow you to remove the LED without cutting the leads. Now the light goes for at least an hour with no dimming.
Overall:
Not the cheapest light (paid $58 for the light, batteries and charger), but a great value for the price paid. Will take a little work on your end (lubricating the o-rings, removing burrs, re-seating diode) to get the most out of the light.

Pros:
- veryyy bright 2,5x than good driven Q5(1A+)- good beam- thanks to wide, short reflector and short corona spill is very wide and bright- throw almost so far as WF-400 or Eastward XAQ5/ 18WD- short fit to Ultrafire Nylon Holster (Large) sku.915- i think on can be 3,2A- 1 mode - thats what i needed
Cons:
- heavy- cool tint (purple/bluish)- very warm after few minute of use (on bike)
Overall:
very very bright bike light (with Q5) almost as 1 headlight in older cars, amazing outputMy is now half-broken.Droped on concreate and loss connection pill to body (strange) but I solderer drop on pill and was OK. Than after ~1 month, flickered (stronger-weaker), I thought it was again no contact but that was someting else. Looks for driver. Now pulls equally half of power 1,08A, maybe half of driver is broken, and has60-65% of normal light ;(
Bright Flashlight, October 20, 2008 Post by JukemanQAZ

Price:
Pros:
Bright, and I mean bright. Seems to be a very pure white light, I have no way to test, but seems like pure white to my eyes. Has a very good throw, and also has some light that floods out to light up stuff not in the center. Good balance between flood and spot.
Cons:
One very small one, some of the mill work on the lens cap could have used the edges rounded off somewhat, very sharp, can cut your fingers. Easy to fix though.
Overall:
I like it, it will replace a halogen spotlight, without all the heat and much easier to carry.
