decent flashlight, June 9, 2011 Post by A1 Cree Q5-WC 5-Mode 230-Lumen LED Flashlight - Grey (
Quality:
Shipping:
Price:
Pros:
small (pocket sized), strong LED, glow in the dark tailcap. it feels pretty sturdy in the hand, i have dropped it a few times and it's still pretty much alright.
Cons:
the light flickers from time to time which is kind of annoying at times. furthermore the supposedly S.O.S. signal really signals for: S.O.O.
Overall:
compare to other (perhaps new) lights on this site first, make up your mind and buy the one best suited to your needs, as there are a LOT of lights on here.
Great little flashlight!, March 22, 2011 Post by GuusGuus

Pros:
It's a great little flashlight for the price, it's pretty bright and it feel very very decent.I recommend this flashlight to absolutely everyone! The clicky functions are high bright, mid bright, low bright, and a strobe.
Cons:
No cons at the moment, I am enjoying this flashlight very much. You can't compare it to high quality lights like Fenix (I know it's not the best, but you get a lot of bang for you buck with those flashlights) but still very good.
Overall:
I recommend you get one of these, unless you can see in the dark...

Cons:

Good value for money, April 21, 2010 Post by Swifty7268

Pros:
Perfect for extreme NightGames like ENcounter. Brightness is equal to, say, Trustfire TR-801 (used to own it) or any other light that comes with Cree XR-E Q5-WC LED. May find lightspot difference only depeding on reflector surfaceCompact enough to carry it on daily basis in your handbag.
Cons:
Would name button build quality a problem for the entire model. I own 3 - one has not clear mode switching, second came with button already dead - I'm keeping it for spare parts in case mine or my friends' A1s will get broken down.
Overall:
Good value for moneyNever use batteries - order Spiderfire 16340 rechargables (my humble recommendation) along with this light
Great Light... Few Issues., March 28, 2010 Post by Invaderchris
Quality:

Price:
Pros:
I think the light is great and I have nothing to add than anyone else has in other reviews. It's bright, it's cheap and it's useful. I will focus instead on the con's...
Cons:
... There are a few con's that I had with my flashlight.- My flashlight wouldn't work properly out of the box, the battery would wobble too much I found out in the tube meaning the flashlight would switch modes and lumen outputs without me touching the mode switch if I had it on. To fix this I had to wrap paper around the battery to max it fit snuggly.- CR123 batteries will cost you a ton.- The Glow-In-The-Dark switch isn't very luminous at night unless you put a strong light next to it before you put it in the dark.- The switch colour is green and doesn't look too nice in my opinion.- The switch is slightly skewed and isn't on center.- Unless you click the switch dead on center, you get a sort of double clicky sound because the button can be pushed from the left and right a bit. Kinda annoying to flashlight enthusiasts.- The clip isn't too strong, but hasn't bent or anything.- The flashlight is not anywhere near the 230 lumens it advertises unless you use rare and hard to come by CR123 3.6v batteries, normal ones are 3.0v.
Overall:
It's a good flashlight for what it is, but there are minor annoyances. The wobbly battery problem is a major problem that I think I only suffered.
Really good, February 7, 2010 Post by Fenki
Quality:

Price:
Pros:
The most interesting: The light output is absolutely great for this size! I don't have the instruments to meassure lumens, but with a 3.7 Volt RCR123 it looks like it could be 230 lumens (compared to other, known lights). There's nothing to complain about the build quality. Even the surface seems really durable.I like the different brightness modes for I often use it to see something hidden in a computercase - high mode would just be blinding.
Cons:
The clip seems to be a bit weak - but until now it's not broken.Maybe 3 modes would be enough - strobe is more for fooling arround, SOS is still unused.
Overall:
I alreday had to reorder 5 pieces for colleagues - a combo with the nano charger and 3.6 Volt trustfire, protected batteries.
Just bright, January 5, 2010 Post by Fenki
Quality:

Price:
Pros:
It's just bright!... but it's only half the fun with disposable CR123. So get some rechargeable CRC123: It's cheaper for daily use and better for the nature ;-)
Cons:
Always starts in high mode. Low mode as a start would be better.I already had to sell it to a colleague to stop him begging daily! So I'll have to order another one.
Overall:
Better buy two or more - your friends will want to have one too ;-)
Nice compact 5 mode q5 cr123, June 20, 2009 Post by aurispector
Quality:
Shipping:
Price:
Pros:
Very bright, 5 modes if you want them, compact, build quality very good, excellent clip.
Cons:
Mode memory is ??? does it have one? or not? Mine doesn't seem to. Takes cr123's which are harder to get than AA or AAA but if it didn't it wouldn't be as small.
Overall:
Very good EDC light. I have a p4 which is not as bright even if you use a 3.6v. This has a tighter, brighter and whiter center spot.
Great light for the price, June 12, 2009 Post by klaas19
Quality:
Shipping:
Price:
Pros:
-VERY bright on rechargeable RCR123 (brighter than fenix p2d on turbo mode)-light weight-small enough to carry in your pocket-cheap enough so that it isn't a desaster to lose it.-finish is ok, not great
Cons:
-mode memory: I don't want a light to start in the next mode. i want it to start at the same mode every time (preferable low mode)-impractical mode sequence: HI>MID>LO>STROBE>SOSI ruins my noghtvision when I start it on High mode.-SOS is wrong :p
Overall:
For the price, you really can't go wrong with this one. I would prefer only 3 modes (LOW - MID - HIGH) but thats personal taste.Overall a very good light for a nice price.
