Overall very good light. Have always been happy with the throw/spill and seems to be somewhere around half the factory rated output, which is probably about what we should expect from the factory rating engineers.Build quality fairly good - lens needed a little cleaning, and reflector had a fingerprint on it. Never did any mods to it. Was supplied with a flush crown & attack crown as shown.Modes always worked well for me -- memory perfect. SOS is as described, not truly SOS, but just a repeating SOSOSOS. Strobe is probably a little slow to be disorienting, but definitely an attention getter.DROP SURVIVAL -- this light has taken a number of sharp drops, including a few feet to concrete, and never had any issues.
Cons:
Rubber liner ring on outside (located near bottom of belt clip) lasted about a year (no real loss without it).Switch broke after 2.5 years. First seemed to only be passing partial current, then got flaky changing modes, and then I discovered the boot was disintegrating somewhat. Upon removing the switch, I discovered how picky it is with position (i.e. do not remove it unless you have a ready replacement) and now is inoperable. Have not yet found a replacement.Won't tailstand solidly - switch boot protrudes just a hair too far. It *does* tailstand, however, with a bit of wobble.
Overall:
Great ROI, even with the eventual failure. Hoping to retool the switch and have it as a great backup to my new light, from DE of course.

Cons:
Second “assault crown” is cheap plastic ring with unreliable thread. Wasteful use 16340 cells (0,9A*8V=7,2W, 3W is light, 4,2W is emits heat). Flashing is not strobe. SOS cycle is 20 second (very low speed). Stabilized overvoltage only.
Overall:
Durable, good heavy, bright flashlight.

-doesnt come with 2*Assault crowns, just one and a cheapy plastic bezel-sharp edges on tailcap (had to take a file to round off the edges, leaving exposed shiny aluminum edge which is not idea)-threads needed to be cleared of metal shavings-overly complicated clicky system (too many parts that need to be aligned perfectly and the components are cheap quality to boot) - don't take it apart unless absolutely necessary and if you do you better be a legomanic-mode switching slightly delayed (slight but noticable)-clicky cover bulges out slightly making tailstanding a little lop-sided

Good for general use around the house or backyard. Assault crown gives is a nice touch should you ever need to use it ;) Decent throw, decent spill but nothing too impressive here. One of the best looking flashlights available from DE.

Built quality not 100%:The Driver circuit come loose after 2-3 times drop, can be easily solder back, sandpaper/file the brass/copper body, then solder the driver PCB.The smooth ring was broken when I received it, but can be repair with a super-glue.SOS mode is actually SOSOSOSOSOSO not SOS SOS SOS

Mine was missing a o-ring in the lens area. The darn thing rattled like a baby rattle it was so bad. I had to take it apart and make a half-azz o-ring that I'm not happy with at all. If it were not for it missing the o-ring I'd probably buy another one. Memory feature is also very bad (see below)

This was my first ultrafire light, and im not really impressed, looks like a used light, large nicks and cuts in the tube, deep gashes into the coating and into the aluminum, quality control definitely not there, the glass was dirty and poorly cut, looks like someone tried to shape the lense with a file and is very oddly shaped, definitely not a perfect disc, a lot of nasty tinting on glass. will not hold water, im sure of it. The plastic ring bezel came broken into two pieces. Will not buy ultrafire again.
Overall:
Not remarkable, but another must have light.

This is a very bright light which has a good throw. The 5 modes work fine. comes with 2 bezels

The smooth bezel is a cheaply made peice of plastic, I will not fit it . If it was made of alloy or stainless seel live the assult bezel, it would be alot better than the one supplied.I had one problem, which was when using rechargeable 123 batteries. They rattle in the tube and if jarred or bumped when thw light is swiched off, it will switch on and go though the modes. Then the only way to switch it off was to unscrew the tail cap. I had got to do this twice now. IT seems fine with 1 x 18650 rechargeable battery.
Overall:
Generaly a very good buy for the price and a good light for any collection, as well as EDC

-Really Really bright... like, blindingly bright-O-ring sealed (I doubt its submersible though)-5 modes-comes with both "assault" bezel and smooth-has a rubber ring under the clip for extra traction
Cons:
-mine came with "assault" bezel installed and without a smooth one (DE fixed the problem without too much trouble)-painted not anodized clip-not HA-III tested with 400 grit sandpaper

This is a solid addition to anyone's flashlight collection.
