This timer can count up or count down. Someone mentioned it resets after stopped for a while, but mine does not which is good for me. Our kids get only 1h computer/TV time per day, so they use the timer to see how much computer/TV they have used. Being able to pause and continue the timer is great.
Cons:
Yes, the word SET should be SEC.It is not perfectly assembled, but suitable. Appropriate for price, however I would pay slightly more for a better assembly.The sound is soft. Too soft. I have never heard a timer this soft. I bought 2 timers and both are the same.The only rear trouble I've had is in pressing RESET, but I have not practiced either.

At least in my refrigerator it "glued" perfectly. When not holding anything but itself, it could just stay in that position for ages, it appears. To use its functions the buttons are soft and very responsive, making needless to press them hard to make them work. Compared to other clocks and cronometers here, its errors are almostly imperceptibles (less than a second), which is more than perfect for its uses in the kitchen. You can prepare anything and not getting it turned into coal or you can even use it as a portable time counter for anything in your house, not just the kitchen.
Cons:
Apparently when the night comes, its front appears to get apart from the case, but it may be due to changes in the temperature, wich may cause some irregular size's increases. But it becomes normal again before much long, making it still useful.
Overall:
If you need to use the oven, wait something to boil but need to do other things or do anything that draws your attention from a time-controlled stuff, then you should buy it.

This product has to be one of the best on DealExreme, price considered.When the countdown is finished, it goes back to the same count it had, eg. if I set it to 5 minutes it will be reset to 5 minutes after the alarm is stopped (whether you stop it by pressing stop, or it stops by itself).

Beep is too low:If you plan to use it on a noisy environment or to get back to check something from 6 meters aways.... you may find it not that useful ( for such cases the sku.4621 will be a better optionBattery is coin type, so if you deplete it it wont be that easy to get a replacement ( they are seel here too altough).Display and numbers are small, so once again if you are not good far sighted or you plan to use it somehow away from you... it would be hard to check the current value... also display does not good as good if seen from an odd angle.small buttons, not for big fingers guys

It’s actually a very useful kitchen accessory. The magnet on back of it sticks well, to a fridge for example. The sound signal is loud enough, so you can’t miss it.
Cons:
Would have been better, if it had a (off) button, because when you put batteries in it, it’s always on. Or maybe a watch on the screen in a standby mode, would make it even more useful.There are no other cons.

It certainly is a pleasant surprise: it comes very well packed in a box and a thin plastic bag inside. As a gift, it looks good!It is very precise. I tested it with countdown from 98 minutes and compared it with a high precision timer and there is a minimal 1 second difference after 98 minutes (1 hour and 38 minutes). The card was faster (less than a second).I also did a count up of 98 minutes (by the way, that is about the maximum time allowed (max is 99 minutes and 59 seconds) and also shows a minimal difference (card is faster) of around or less than a second. So it is reasonably precise.When in a count up it reaches 99:59 and then keeps counting as 00:00 then 00:01 and so on. This is good or bad depending on what is it for.When in countdown stays in 00:00 and beeps for around 30 seconds then the display returns to the previous setting ready to countdown again.And beeping sounds like bee-bee-bee-beep... bee-bee-bee-beep... bee-bee-bee-beep... if you know what I mean ;-)

It is rather thickish and built and finish is not the best but it's OK for a ~$3 gadget.The card is almost 6 millimeters thick.Packaging is, however, surprisingly good. Instructions and notes entirely printed with Chinese ideograms. But again it does look good and impressive as a gift.

I like this one.It is very cheap and the build quality is good. There is already a battery inside so no need to buy. I is easy to attach on metallic surface as a refrigerator due to magnetic back on the cloc. it does the work and is dirt cheap.What more to ask?
