- has a nice locking mechanism so its stays very firmly in place until you unlock it;- good if you usually keep the iPod in a purse or pocket and don't want to take it out every time you have to skip a song;- it adds a earphones plug- earphone out sound quality is not bad at all. I'm not very picky about hi-fi but I hardly can tell the difference between plugging in the ordinary earphones plug (that is - with average quality earphones, didn't try quality ones)
Cons:
- the remote lock slider don't work so I can't lock the iPod and that's bad since I use it in a armband pouch that keeps the locking slide on the iPod under it;- the build quality could be better, it feels cheap (even if not fragile, just lousy);- doesn't work with Iphone 4, works good with iPod mini 4G;

Great product, I hate to take my touch out of the pocket to change the song, this is great, fix on your pant's pocket and can walk many kilometers changing the song without take the iPod out. Mine, came in white. The buttons feels solid.
Cons:
The audio coming from the connector is poor, connect your phones on the iPod, the spring to attach to your cloths its weak.

-First of all: quite cheap in comparison with Genuine Appel stuff.-it works as it should. I have ordered 3 pieces with a small discount and they all work.-easy to use-dock connecter fits very well and comes out easy enough-delivery time was about 2 weeks as mentioned and they are all sort of white (slightly different from the genuine Apple dock connector)
Cons:
-small scratches on surface where the buttons are-clip isn't that strong; you can pull it off your clothing a little too easy, but it does its job-build quality of the piece with the buttons doesn't seem that good (the iPod dock connecter looks much sturdier)
Overall:
Like I said, I have bought 3 of them, because I have 2 iPod Touch 2G with a broken headset output and one iPod Touch 2G that still functions normally. This product is really cheap and useful, but I wonder how long they will hold due to the build quality.

Cons:
The buttons is a little bit insensitive, but this probably differs from one unit to another, in this price range. The white insulator on the cable on my unit loosened from the buttons casing, letting casing hang only from the thin inner cables. Works still though.Sound quality directly from the unit sucks. Put your headphones directly to the ipod.
Overall:
Buy it. For this price, you can buy more units if the first one isn't good. Sooner or later you will get lucky. (Tip: Put the ipod in the inner pocket of the jacket, and let this hang inside the sleeve of the jacket. Easy access!)

I have a 1st gen 32gig iPod touch and it works great, buttons are good to press and the cables are good quality.
Cons:
The audio out on the unit sounds much worse. It's not a big deal because you can use the normal audio out. I think the connectors/components inside the unit are bad quality, but I wasn't planning on using the unit as a headphone extender so it's not a big deal.
Overall:
Unit controls my ipod touch fine. Buy this if you have a 1st gen ipod touch with no external controls - it makes it much better. Buy it if you take out your ipod a lot to change songs etc.

Cons:
The sound quality depends on what you connect it to.I don't know why, but at first it had a really noisy lo cut kind of sound.They mixed up two of the buttons, eaven on the circuit board.
Overall:
I took mine apart after a few minutes and built a home made ipod dock. It works like a sharm.It's also easy to take apart... :D

- Well built, nice finish.- Buttons feel & look nice.- Maybe I'm just lucky but in my remote buttons ARE NOT reversed.- Works with my iPod touch- iPod connector has release buttons (push to release), very good looking- Has a Line-Out jack- Cable lenght is just fine- Has a chrome look, it's plastic (sure) but it looks nice.
Cons:
- Line-OUT jack sounds HORRIBLE with headphones (haven't tried with an amplifier) but you can still plug them to the iPod- Buttons are quite hard to push at first, however you get used to them later.- Clip is has a very small area.- Gets fingerprints very easy.- Play / Pause needs to be hold longer than the other buttons to work (but I doubt this is the remote's fault).
Overall:
Buy one and control your iPod in your pocket without getting it out from there ;)

Works perfectly, using the digital output produces and clear, crisp sound, allowing me to hear the imperfections of the mp3. (Could be a con, but if you encode your music with a sufficiently high bitrate this should not be an issue.)
Cons:
Feels a little bit light and cheap, but it is! Can hardly complain about that!
Overall:
This remote is better than any other remote listed in dX, get it. (Unless you want FM radio, which seems a bit funny if you're using it with an iPod.)
