rope tying it together could be a little longer to make easier to scrape but it is still very usuable and is easily remedied if it bothers you very much. this will not last forever after playing with it a while gouges are quite deep

This works as claimed. Creates very nice sparks and only takes a few strikes for flint to catch on. This is a very, very useful tool when going to outdoor trips and need a backup source of fire incase a lighter fails. I would definitely have this with me whenever I headout for a camp trip or something
Cons:
As it requires striking on the stick, it does eventually ware out. But given the price this comes at, and the amount of time u get to actually use it, its not really a con.
Overall:
Definitely a worthy investment for those out there who travel out into the uncivilized.

this is the best fire sparkle i have ever used! it creates many BIG sparks if you use a really sharp, saw-like item (e.g. i used the rope cutting side of my knife and it worked like a charm)
Cons:
the blade cutter, on the other hand, isn't that good. first of all it is attached to the flint with a really short rope so it's hard to strike the flint hard. it takes a while for it to create sparks
Overall:
buy it if you need it, but don't expect much from the cutter tool.

There are only pros about this Wilderness Survivel Fire Sparkle Tool.You won't find it any cheaper.It does it's job an it does it very well !It makes alot of sparkles an it's shure as goed as a genuine Swedish Firesteel.If you want a Firesteel, please don't pay 20$ for a real Swedish Firesteel, get this one !It's as good as a Swedish Firesteel at 1/10 the price.

This thing is small. And light. And waterproof. That's right. If your canoe overturns and everything in it gets soaking wet, your matches and lighters won't work any more. If you've got one of these, though, pull up on shore, wipe as much water off it as you can, and collect a small pile of dry tinder. You'll have a fire going in no time.
Cons:
Requires very dry, fine tinder. If you're expecting wet weather, consider bringing some vaseline-soaked cotton balls to help start the fire.Also requires a bit of elbow grease to start working the first time. You need to wear off the paint on the magnesium stick and on the blade cutter before you start to get good sparks.
Overall:
Would purchase again if I lost mine.

it is light and compact and handy to carry it and i presume it is very convenient. It can make a lot of sparks while you get sore hands and fingers if you did not choose the correct material to start with.
Cons:
blade is not good and i change to use my small file and it makes a lot of sparks!It is quite difficult to make a fire, even i can create a lot of sparks, I have tried dry leaves, fine-cut paper, and the only thing works is to use the toilet paper, after hundreds of strikes (not sure if i can survive after this in the real wilderness), a lighter maybe better if you have chance to bring with you.

This is the last resource ,bring your light or magnafiying glass or even laser.

You can start a fire with any not wet paper / litter / grass is dry enough. This product is very easy for use. Sparks are big, bright, you can even SOS with this thing, those sparks never ran out, I have been using it very many times, and it became only half of its size. It is not afraid of heat, I threw it into fire(only magnesium rod) and it still works! Blade cutter is good quality.
Cons:
The green striking tool is not very good. First, it's attached so it's hard to strike hard enough. Second, it's not sharp enough. Third, it's not hard enough. This problem can be remedied by using any knife that you have at hand.
Overall:
It's cheap, it's handy, it's useful and you might need it when you plane crashs ;-)I'd say buy it, it won't be a wrong choice!
