It is very cheap.With its small size and light weight, it is something you can carry on even your lightest backpacking equipment. You never know when this can save you!
Cons:
You will find sometimes it is too small to be handled comfortably. But once you get used to this, it is not a major deal.The sparkles bar is too thin, it feels like it will be worn out after a few uses - but I did not get to that point yet.
Overall:
Cheap, small and light. Keep it in some hidden pocket in your backpack, some day you will be really happy for having placed it there.

If you want a cheap camptoy, or semi-serious survival firestick, don't hesitate to pick this up. I threw one into a small knife-based pack along with the aluminum pill container also purchased here. Once you get the proper angle down on the striker, you'll have no problem producing plenty of sparks. Not sure how long it will last, but I'd say in excess of 500 strikes shouldn't be a problem

I bought several of these over the last months, some as gifts and others for myself. They all work great. I have started every fire in my back yard pit using this item since last year and still have the first one (even if it is worn down).It is easy to use; if you are having trouble getting a clean swipe then you can change out the rope between the 2 parts to give you more room to work.
Cons:
None- this product works perfectly and is about 15-20 dollars less than if you go to a camping store and buy it. Considreing it eventually wears down, you are going to want to buy more than one- so save money and but it here

- harder to start a fire due to its size.- must know what you are doing if you want it to work correctly. if you do not then prepare for a long time before an actually fire starts. patience is key.

I wouldn't use this to regularly create fires. It is pretty small and would probably be used up easily. DE sells a larger version that would work better.The included "blade cutter tool" doesn't work too well. There is a coating of paint over it that interferes with its use. If you do decide to use this, as I have, then you'll need to take a knife or something and scrape the paint off of the bottom and sides. This will make it work a lot better. Of course you could always just use a knife or something else.
Overall:
I bought this one to fit in something small but for regular use I have a bigger one that is much better.

As I sayd...Lots of fun! Is very nice to make some sparks, an can be really usefull in some cases. I put it in water and it works just nice. The sparks are very intense and sometimes keep burning for a while.It's small enouth to use as a keychain.
Cons:
spends kinda quick.Mine came with some small issues in one side, like little holes...but that does not really a con.The blade cutter ir very hard to use, get something longer so u reach righer speeds(is all abbout the speed to get sparks)
